In a world where we rush to succeed, hurry to accomplish, push to achieve, we often equate slow improvement with failure.
I like this proverb. It tells me that so long as I can work towards a goal and see some measurable improvement or progress, I have not failed. It tells me that the worst thing would be to stop trying, to freeze in place, out of a fear of failure.
Because, of course, if one stops trying, one is guaranteed never to grow.
This weekend take at least one step towards your goal — whether it’s putting one sentence onto paper, or registering for a seminar, or reading a work by your favourite writer, or relaxing with friends who believe in you.
Do that, and in my book you are a success!
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step….. I have been looking at my Tao book at the philosophies in there and they apply to us all. Thanks Charlotte. Kaye
Thanks for this Charlotte. It really helps to remember this sometimes.
I needed to hear this today. Thanks!
